π±Your first ten minutes
Grind Tycoon is a farm progression game: you plant, you harvest, you reinvest, and you start again bigger. There are no guns, no mandatory roleplay, and no account to create.
- You arrive at the Hamlet with 3 plots. They are the squares of soil in front of you. They are yours, nobody else can touch them.
- Walk up to a plot and press E. The seed menu opens. Take wheat: it is the cheapest and the fastest.
- Wait eight seconds. The plant grows before your eyes. When it is ready, it shines.
- Press E again to harvest. The money drops right away: no need to go and sell anything.
- Do it again, then buy one more plot as soon as you can. One more plot means one more harvest every round.
- Open TAB to see your menu: your plots, your upgrades, your villages, your progress.
The golden rule of the early game
As long as you can buy a plot, buy a plot. Upgrades come after: they multiply what you produce, so they are mostly worth it once you already produce a lot.
πThe game loop
The whole game comes down to four actions that chain faster and faster.
1. PlantYou pay the seed price. The plot is now busy.
2. WaitFrom 8 seconds for wheat to 40 seconds for the crystal flower.
3. HarvestYou cash in the sale price. Selling is automatic.
4. ReinvestPlots, upgrades, then rebirth.
Where your money goes
There are only four things to spend on in the game, and they all pay off sooner or later: seeds, plots, upgrades and orchard trees. Tokens, on the other hand, can't be bought with money: you earn them by playing.
Three shortcuts that change everything
The magnet harvests the plots around you without pressing anything. Auto replant puts the same seed back right after the harvest. Faster growth shortens the wait. All three are bought with tokens in the F4 menu.
π«Plots
You start with 3 plots. Each extra plot costs 45% more than the previous one, starting at $50.
Plot prices in the Hamlet, before any rebirth
| Plot | Price (rebirth 0) |
| 4th | $50 |
| 5th | $72 |
| 6th | $105 |
| 7th | $152 |
| 8th | $221 |
| 12th | $977 |
| 20th | $19,100 |
The maximum number of plots depends on the village: 6 in the Hamlet, 12 in Grapeseed, 20 in the Plains.
The detail that matters
The price depends on how many plots you own in that village. When you arrive in a new village, plots become cheap again β and since your crops already earn much more, you catch up very quickly.
πΎCrops
Eight crops, unlocked over your rebirths. The later they come, the more they earn β both in percentage and in absolute value.
The eight crops, their price and their growth time
| Crop | Seed | Sale | Return | Growth | Unlocked at |
| πΎ Wheat | $4 | $14 | Γ3.5 | 8 s | Start |
| π½ Corn | $15 | $55 | Γ3.7 | 8 s | Start |
| π Grapes | $45 | $165 | Γ3.7 | 13 s | Rebirth 1 |
| π» Sunflower | $150 | $620 | Γ4.1 | 16 s | Rebirth 3 |
| π Pumpkin | $600 | $2,700 | Γ4.5 | 21 s | Rebirth 5 |
| πΆοΈ Golden pepper | $2,800 | $13,500 | Γ4.8 | 26 s | Rebirth 7 |
| π Moon mushroom | $15,000 | $78,000 | Γ5.2 | 33 s | Rebirth 9 |
| π Crystal flower | $90,000 | $520,000 | Γ5.8 | 40 s | Rebirth 12 |
Which one to plant?
Almost always the most expensive one you can afford on all your plots at once. Its earnings per minute are better, even if it takes longer to grow.
One exception: if you are about to buy a plot or an upgrade, plant wheat in the meantime. You lock up less money and reach your goal faster.
Do prices go up with rebirths?
Yes, everything is multiplied together. At each rebirth, seeds, sales, plots and upgrades are multiplied by 2.62. The numbers get bigger, the balance stays the same: that's what lets the game show huge amounts without becoming easier or harder.
β¬οΈUpgrades
Three upgrades, twelve levels each. They are bought at the village's Upgrades terminal, or from the TAB menu.
| Upgrade | What it does | Per level | At level 12 | 1st level |
| π± Fertilizer | Crops grow faster | β6% | β72% | $40 |
| π° Yield | Each harvest earns more | +15% | +180% | $50 |
| π· Workers | Produce money even while offline | +$3/min | +$36/min | $70 |
Each level costs 35% more than the previous one. The twelve Yield levels cost about $5,100 in total, before any rebirth. Fertilizer and faster growth stack, but never go beyond β80% growth time.
In which order?
- Yield first. +15% on every harvest, right away, for cheap.
- Fertilizer next. More harvests per hour, so more money β but only if you are there to harvest.
- Workers last, unless you play in short sessions: they are the ones filling your wallet while you are away.
Upgrades reset to zero
At each rebirth, your upgrades are reset along with your money. It's not a loss: their prices are multiplied exactly like your earnings, and you buy them back in a few minutes.
β¨Rebirth
This is the heart of the game. You give back your money, your plots and your upgrades, and in exchange everything earns 2.62 times more, forever. Thirty rebirths in total.
What you keep, what you lose
β
You keepYour tokens, your boosts, your companions, your orchard, your stats, your rebirth level.
β You loseYour money, your bought plots, your upgrades. You go back to 3 plots.
Requirements
A rebirth requires two things β three from rebirth 16:
- Money, depending on the tier (table below);
- Unlocked boost levels, all abilities combined;
- Stars from the orchard, from the 16th.
Requirements for the first fifteen rebirths
| Rebirth | Money | Boost levels |
| 1 | $250 | 1 |
| 2 | $1,750 | 3 |
| 3 | $12,250 | 5 |
| 4 | $85,750 | 6 |
| 5 | $600,000 | 8 |
| 6 | $4.2M | 10 |
| 7 | $29.5M | 12 |
| 8 | $206M | 13 |
| 9 | $1.44B | 14 |
| 10 | $10.1B | 15 |
| 11 | $70.5B | 15 |
| 12 | $495B | 16 |
| 13 | $3.45T | 16 |
| 14 | $24.2T | 17 |
| 15 | $169T | 17 |
From the 16th, you also need stars: 3,000 for the 16th, 4,800 for the 17th, 7,700 for the 18th, then more and more. Beyond the 17th, boosts are no longer a requirement: it all comes down to money and stars.
When to rebirth?
As soon as you can. This is the most common mistake: piling up money way past the tier "to be safe". Every minute spent above the threshold is a minute lost, because after the rebirth the same minute will earn 2.62 times more. Rebirth, buy back your plots in five minutes, and go again.
The rebirth menu opens with F5, or at the village's Rebirth terminal.
πΊοΈThe three villages
Each village is a separate farm, with its own plots. You travel from the Travel terminal, and you can come back whenever you want.
| Village | Rebirths | Max plots | What else you find there |
| π‘ The Hamlet | 0 β 3 | 6 | Henhouse, fisherman, farmer, shipper |
| π» Grapeseed | 3 β 9 | 12 | The trader, better egg laying |
| πΎ The Plains | 9 β 30 | 20 | The orchard, the best egg laying |
A village unlocks at the rebirth shown and stays available afterwards. The incubator camp and the egg hunt are shared by all three.
Should you move right away?
Yes. More plots, better egg laying, and plots that become cheap again: there is no reason to stay behind. Your old farms don't disappear, but you have no reason to go back.
ποΈTokens
The second currency. It can't be bought β neither with in-game money nor with real money. It is only used for boosts, and it survives rebirths.
How to earn them
| Source | Details |
| πΎ Harvesting | 14% chance per harvest: 1 or 2 tokens, and a 4% chance of a big prize of 6 |
| π¦ Shipping eggs | From 1 token (uncommon) to 16 tokens (mythic) |
| π― Daily challenges | 1, 2 or 4 tokens depending on difficulty |
| π Daily gift | Some days of the streak give tokens |
| π The guide | Once, at the end of the tutorial |
| π¬ Discord | Server boost, referrals |
The real token tap
It's harvesting. With 20 plots, a magnet and auto replant, you chain hundreds of harvests per hour β so dozens of tokens. Players who lack tokens are almost always the ones who plant little and wait a long time.
β‘Boosts
Permanent abilities, bought with tokens in the F4 menu. They are never lost, not even when you rebirth.
| Boost | Effect | Levels | 1st level | From |
| 𧲠Magnet | Harvests on its own around you, from 2.2 m to 5 m | 3 | 4 tokens | Start |
| β±οΈ Faster growth | Crops grow faster, up to β24% | 4 | 5 tokens | Start |
| π Fast run | You move up to 1.5 times faster | 3 | 3 tokens | Start |
| π€ Offline earnings | Multiplies what you earn while away, up to Γ4 | 4 | 5 tokens | Start |
| π° Starting money | You restart with much more money after a rebirth (at most a quarter of the next tier) | 4 | 4 tokens | Rebirth 3 |
| π Clover | Improves your odds of rare eggs and fruit | 3 | 8 tokens | Rebirth 3 |
| πͺ Infinite stamina | You never run out of breath | 1 | 6 tokens | Rebirth 3 |
| π Auto replant | Replants the same seed right after the harvest | 1 | 30 tokens | Rebirth 9 |
| π Teleport | Instant return to your farm | 1 | 12 tokens | Rebirth 9 |
Temporary bonuses
One harvest in ten also triggers a free, short-lived bonus: money Γ2 for 3 minutes, twice-as-fast growth for 3 minutes, or faster running for 2 min 30. They show up at the top of the screen.
In which order to buy?
Magnet level 1, then Faster growth, then Magnet maxed out. The magnet is what transforms the game: you harvest while walking instead of pressing E twenty times. Keep Offline earnings for when you start logging off for long periods.
π€Offline earnings
When you log off, your farm keeps producing. When you come back, the game offers you the accumulated total.
- $2 per minute base, multiplied like everything else by your rebirths;
- +$3 per minute per Workers level, so +$36/min at level 12;
- Γ1.5 to Γ4 with the Offline earnings boost;
- the counter stops after 8 hours.
The fisherman and the farmer keep going too, but at 40% of their normal output.
So is it worth logging off?
Never as much as playing: eight hours offline earn less than one hour of active harvesting with a magnet. It's a safety net for casual players, not a strategy.
πThe henhouse
Hens lay eggs on their own, non-stop, in every village. You collect the eggs at the nest and carry them in a basket.
The six rarities
| Rarity | Hatching | Hamlet | Grapeseed | Plains |
| Common | 1 min | 62% | 52% | 42% |
| Uncommon | 3 min | 25% | 28% | 30% |
| Rare | 6 min | 9% | 13% | 17% |
| Epic | 12 min | 3% | 5% | 7.5% |
| Legendary | 25 min | 0.9% | 1.7% | 2.9% |
| Mythic | 45 min | 0.1% | 0.3% | 0.6% |
Bad-luck protection
The game keeps count. You can't get more than 29 eggs in a row without an Epic or better, nor more than 199 without a Legendary or better. Nobody stays stuck on commons forever.
Three things to do with an egg
- Hatch it at the incubator camp: it becomes a companion.
- Sell it to the shipper: money and tokens.
- Keep it: there's no rush, but an egg in your arms can be stolen at the camp.
The odds are shown in game, in the henhouse menu: they are exactly the ones in the table.
ποΈThe incubator camp
The only place in the game where other players can take something from you. It's also the only place where an egg hatches.
How it works
- You put your egg on your pad, and hatching starts.
- Time only runs while you are at the camp: leaving pauses the egg.
- Your shield opens and closes on its own every 30 seconds. With the shield open, your egg can be stolen.
- Closing your shield quickly (within 10 seconds) gives you 10 seconds of free hatching.
- Stealing someone else's egg means staying next to it, in the open, for 3 seconds.
You have 1 incubator at the start, 2 at rebirth 3, 3 at rebirth 7 and 4 at rebirth 12. The camp holds 4 players per instance: beyond that, a new instance opens automatically, nobody waits.
A stolen egg is never lost for everyone
It changes hands, it doesn't disappear. And if the server restarts while someone is carrying your egg, it comes back to you automatically.
The good habit
Stay close to your pad and watch your shield countdown: the little alert at 5 seconds gives you time to come back. The players who lose eggs are the ones who wander off to steal from others.
πΎCompanions
Twelve species, two per rarity. A hatching egg gives a companion of its rarity. You choose only one to follow you: that's the one that applies its full bonus.
| Rarity | Companions | Bonus |
| Common | π€ Chick Β· π± Duckling | +3% money Β· +4 points of token chance |
| Uncommon | π° Rabbit Β· π© Lamb | β6% growth Β· β6% wait between two layings |
| Rare | πΊ Fox Β· πΆ Raccoon | +10% money Β· β12% hatching |
| Epic | π Panda Β· π Tiger | β15% growth Β· +6 s of shield at the camp |
| Legendary | π¦ Unicorn Β· π Phoenix | β20% laying wait Β· +25% money |
| Mythic | π Dragon Β· π¦ Griffin | β35% hatching Β· β30% growth |
The collection bonus
Each different species you have already obtained adds +1% money on all your harvests, even if it's sleeping in your index. With all twelve species: +12%. So collecting is worth it, without a veteran crushing a newcomer.
The companion menu opens with F9.
Which one to bring out?
Before rebirth 9, take a money companion: you're chasing tiers. After that, when you're going for orchard stars and big eggs, a growth or hatching companion saves more time.
π¦The shipper
He buys your eggs. You hand him one, he leaves, and he comes back to pay you later β the clock runs even while you're offline. Three shipments can travel at the same time.
| Egg | Wait | Pays | Tokens |
| Common | 5 min | 3 farm min | 0 |
| Uncommon | 12 min | 9 min | 1 |
| Rare | 25 min | 24 min | 2 |
| Epic | 50 min | 1 h | 4 |
| Legendary | 2 h | 3 h | 8 |
| Mythic | 4 h | 7 h | 16 |
"24 farm minutes" means: what your farm produces in 24 minutes, at your current level. A payment in fixed dollars would be huge at the start and ridiculous at rebirth 12; this way, a rare egg keeps the same value at every level.
Daily orders
Two orders are drawn every day: several eggs requested together, for example "two commons and a rare". They pay 1.7 times the sum of the separate shipments, plus 2 tokens, and go 15% faster β while only taking one of the three slots.
Always orders first
If a daily order matches the eggs you have, fill it before shipping one by one. It's more money, more tokens, less waiting and fewer slots taken.
π₯The egg hunt
A separate field where eggs appear on the ground. You pick them up by hand, running, before they disappear.
- 4 players per instance, 30 eggs on the ground at the same time;
- an egg stays 20 to 25 seconds before vanishing;
- you can carry 3 at a time, then you have to drop them off;
- 30 eggs per hour per player at most;
- the odds are the same everywhere: 65% common, 0.1% mythic.
You enter through the egg hunt NPC, found in every village.
Is it worth it?
It's the fastest way to pile up common and uncommon eggs β so shipments and tokens. For high rarities, the Plains henhouse is still better.
π³The orchard
Unlocked at rebirth 9, in the Plains. It's the endgame content: 50 tree slots, ten fruits, mutations, and the stars required from rebirth 16.
The ten trees
| Tree | Sapling | Fruit value | Stars | Fruits | Unlocked at |
| π Apple | 25 | 2 | 1 | 3 | β |
| π Lemon | 120 | 6 | 2 | 3 | 25 β
|
| π Orange | 450 | 16 | 3 | 4 | 100 β
|
| π Peach | 1,500 | 40 | 5 | 4 | 300 β
|
| π Pear | 5,000 | 100 | 8 | 4 | 800 β
|
| π Cherry | 15,000 | 250 | 12 | 5 | 2,000 β
|
| π Grape | 50,000 | 650 | 18 | 5 | 5,000 β
|
| π₯ Kiwi | 160,000 | 1,700 | 27 | 5 | 12,000 β
|
| π₯₯ Coconut | 500,000 | 4,500 | 40 | 6 | 30,000 β
|
| π Star | 1,600,000 | 12,000 | 60 | 6 | 75,000 β
|
The first sapling is free. A tree goes up to level 5 and produces its fruit in a loop, from 5 minutes for an apple tree.
Mutations
About one fruit in six is born mutated, and its value is multiplied. A fruit that is already mutated can get a second one (one time in four), up to five.
| Mutation | Value | Frequency |
| Juicy | Γ1.5 | very common |
| Giant | Γ2 | common |
| Shiny | Γ2.5 | common |
| Frosted | Γ3 | uncommon |
| Electric | Γ4 | rare |
| Golden | Γ6 | very rare |
| Rainbow | Γ10 | exceptional |
| Cosmic | Γ25 | the Holy Grail |
| Rotten / Shriveled | Γ0.5 / Γ0.7 | bad luck |
Clover is mostly useful here
The Clover boost makes good mutations up to three times more frequent and halves the bad ones. On an orchard of fifty trees, it's the best token investment of the whole endgame.
πThe trader
In Grapeseed and the Plains. You bet an amount, a curve goes up, and you cash out whenever you want β but it can crash all of a sudden.
- The multiplier goes up to Γ5 at most;
- the crash hits between 15 and 30 seconds after the start, without warning;
- 5 minutes of waiting between two rounds.
Play it smart
It's a bet, and the game doesn't hide that the curve can drop before you do. Never bet what you still need for your next rebirth: the farm, on the other hand, never loses.
π£The fisherman and the farmer
Two characters to hire who produce for you, non-stop, even when you're elsewhere.
π£ The fishermanPaid in tokens, he pays out money every 30 seconds. Nine levels, from level 1 (2 tokens) to level 9 (140 tokens). Shortcut: P.
π¨βπΎ The farmerHired with money, for a limited time. Nine levels, from 8 to 100 minutes of work.
Both keep going offline, at 40% of their output. Their production is expressed in "plots": the level 9 fisherman earns as much as 3.4 plots running on their own.
The fisherman before boosts?
No, not at the start: your first tokens are worth more in the Magnet, because the magnet also increases the number of tokens you earn afterwards. Level up the fisherman once your essential boosts are taken.
π―Challenges and daily gift
The three daily challenges
One easy, one medium, one hard, drawn every day and shown above the minimap. They complete on their own: no button to click.
| Difficulty | Reward | Tokens | Examples |
| Easy | 10 farm min | 1 | 30 harvests, 3 eggs collected |
| Medium | 25 min | 2 | 120 harvests, 3 shipments, 6 shields closed |
| Hard | 1 h | 4 | Hatch an egg, 8 shipments |
Two players don't get the same challenges on the same day, and logging back in doesn't reroll them. The I key hides the display.
The daily gift
A login streak: each consecutive day gives more than the day before β money, tokens, sometimes a temporary bonus. Menu F3.
πThe store
Optional, and designed not to break the game: nothing can be bought that can't be earned by playing, there are no mystery packs, and tokens are not for sale.
| Offer | What it gives |
| GOLD subscription | +50% money, β20% growth time, upgrades β20% |
| LEGEND subscription | Money Γ2, β35% growth, upgrades β35%, one instant rebirth per month |
| X2 Money | Money doubled, permanently |
| β50% Upgrades | All your upgrades at half price |
| Instant rebirth | Skip a tier you've already done half of |
The details and prices are on the Store page.

πHow to succeed
The game doesn't reward whoever plays the longest, but whoever never lets their money sleep. Here is the plan, step by step.
Rebirths 0 to 3: learn and go fast
- Buy plots up to 6 in the Hamlet. Nothing else is a priority.
- Raise Yield to 4 or 5, then Fertilizer.
- As soon as you have 4 tokens: Magnet level 1. You'll never play without it again.
- Rebirth the moment you have the $250 and your first boost level. Don't hoard.
- Pick up eggs as you go: they fund your tokens through the shipper.
Rebirths 3 to 9: the machine starts up
- Move to Grapeseed and go up to 12 plots.
- Always plant the most expensive seed you can put everywhere.
- Magnet maxed out (5 m), then Faster growth.
- Take Starting money: it removes the five slow minutes after each rebirth.
- Always keep three shipments on the way, and fill daily orders first.
- Hatch your epic eggs and better: aim for a money companion.
Rebirths 9 to 15: nothing by hand anymore
- Head to the Plains and its 20 plots.
- Auto replant and Teleport unlock: take them immediately. From then on, you walk through your field and everything happens on its own.
- Open the orchard and plant as soon as you can. Stars take time to pile up, and you'll need 3,000 at rebirth 16.
- Level up the fisherman: at this stage, your tokens come in faster than you spend them.
- Clover becomes worth it: more rare eggs, more good mutations.
Rebirth 16 and beyond: the race for stars
- Money is no longer the limiting factor: stars are.
- Fill your 50 slots and raise each tree to level 5.
- Replace your trees with better ones as soon as you unlock the next variety.
- Complete your collection of twelve companions: +12% money, permanently.
The three rules that sum it all up
- Your money never sleeps. It's in the ground, in a plot or in an upgrade.
- Rebirth as soon as you can. Waiting "to have some margin" is always a loss.
- Tokens before comfort. The magnet and auto replant give you more useful hours of play than any upgrade.
β οΈClassic mistakes
- Waiting to have "a lot" before rebirthing. The most costly mistake in the game. Tier reached? Rebirth.
- Planting wheat at rebirth 10. The most expensive crop earns more per minute, even though it grows longer.
- Leaving plots empty. An empty plot earns nothing, and it's the most expensive purchase in the game.
- Keeping your common eggs. They're worthless as companions, but they fund your tokens at the shipper.
- Leaving the three shipping slots empty. That's free money and tokens not working for you.
- Wandering away from your pad at the camp. Going off to steal from others means offering up your own egg.
- Betting your rebirth money at the trader. The curve always drops eventually.
- Waiting for rebirth 16 to plant your first tree. Stars come in slowly: plant from rebirth 9.
